Ballymaloe trained, Victoria Mackechnie has been teaching cookery to children for a number of years both here and in Sydney. Passionate about children’s cookery, she set up Kids in the Kitchen to give primary school children the practical skills and understanding to make healthier, tasty meals for themselves.

Cooking is something children enjoy just as much as eating the finished product - sometimes even more!

Victoria said, ‘I wanted to show children that good quality healthy ingredients, cooked well, are delicious. The tactile and creative process involved in cooking appeals enormously to children. They are fascinated by how they can transform a dough into a loaf of bread or a batter into a stack of pancakes’.
